For participating in our Pilot programme, registered users of Research to Publication will be entitled to a 20% discount on Article Processing Charges across all of our Gold Open Access titles:

  1. Log in to rtop.bmj.com and complete one module.  Provide feedback and download a certificate.
  2. Submit your article to one of our  Gold Open Access Journals.
  3. Once your article has been accepted in one of our  Gold Open Access Journals complete steps 4 and 5 below.
  4. Email the following details to apc.journals@bmj.com:
  • Name -Email address (the one used for your Research to Publication account)
  • Scholar 1 ID (can be found in an email acknowledgment you received upon submission)
  • A certificate of completion for any module
  • This statement: ‘I am affiliated with the UK Medical Research Council and have had my paper accepted. Please provide the 20% APC discount’.

5. You will receive a discount code once your email has been reviewed.  Apply this discount code to your RightsLink offer email using the ‘apply discounts’ button.
